Elliotts Premier Roofing has played a key role in the prestigious redevelopment of a historic hospital site into luxury homes.
Our work included the installation of Woburn handmade plain tiles across numerous blocks to match the estate’s original character, along with complex architectural leadwork features such as valleys, dormers, and cornices. A variety of flat roofing systems, including Soprema hot melt, felt, and single-ply, were employed depending on roof location and use. Careful detailing and planning were essential due to the listed status and architectural significance of many buildings.
The former tuberculosis sanatorium, opened by Edward VII in 1906, has been converted into over 100 luxury apartments, complete with sauna, jacuzzi, and an underground swimming pool. Using Sahta heritage clay plain tiles and bespoke leadwork, our roofing works have helped retain the building’s original façade while supporting the creation of high-quality, ultra-luxurious one, two, and three-bedroom apartments set among native trees, paying homage to its royal connections.
