Elliotts Premier Roofing worked on the complete renovation of the Royal Victoria Hospital (Netley Hospital), a large military hospital near Southampton, Hampshire.
Construction of the hospital began in 1856 at the suggestion of Queen Victoria, who often visited the site. The hospital played a key role during the First World War and later became the 28th US General Hospital during the Second World War, officially opening to patients on 11 March 1863.
Our team worked closely with the main contractor to remove the existing roof coverings and install a full Welsh slate roofing system. This renovation has helped return the building to its former glory, ensuring a durable, heritage-sensitive roof that will last for generations to come.
